I went on a day trip today. Before I left, I put stew in the crock pot. Ds ate at 2:00, & turned it off. He never put the rest of it away. (I was planning that dh & I would eat the rest for lunch tomorrow.) I got home at 5:30, noticed the food at 6:00 & put it in the 'fridge.
But I don't think we should eat it.
What do you think?

Eat it, it would have taken a while to cool down in the crockpot.

We'd eat it. Maybe unless it was made with pork somehow (sausage?)

We'd eat it.
"Blessed is the woman who has a smile in her voice, a sparkle in her eyes, a song on her lips; a spring in her step, a warmth in her touch, a depth to her beauty, a purpose for her life, a joy in her faith, a hope in her breast and a love in her heart."

For food that I'm afraid may have been left out a little too long, we heat it up again completely to kill off anything that might have started growing in there. Then we put it away like we would have otherwise. For example, our daughter brought home some shredded roast beef that had been served at a wedding reception last weekend. (She was working for the caterer.) As soon as she got it home, we heated it until it was VERY hot all the way through, and then put it in a pyrex dish to store right away in the fridge. It was fine.
